Eleanor: Chapter 1: Sunset Valley

Eleanor had been born in Little Simerny, Sim City to her aging parents, Hans and Martha Wetzel, two Serman immigrants that had given up almost all hope of having a child and called Eleanor their "little miracle baby".
Shortly after high school and years of working at her father's butcher shop, Eleanor realized her dream of becoming a world famous CEO but, unfortunately, no one would hire her in Sim City as much of the business district was going through rough times and could not afford to train a young intern with no official job experience.
Disraught, her mother told her of the land that the family had bought long ago in a little town called Sunset Valley. The economy there was booming and there was a small fledging staple company that was eager for new recruits.
Although it was not the job of her dreams and Eleanor had never been outside of the city, she knew that this was a start, so she packed her bags and left with only 1,700 simoleons and her parent's blessing...

When Eleanor first arrived in Sunset Valley, she was greeted by a wide expanse of land, certainly not what she had expected!

She immeadiately gussied up the place, adding a few small creature comforts and her beloved art easel from home. Eleanor had known that it wouldn't have been easy to start in a new town but she didn't think that she'd have to live outside!
She quickly hurried over to the business tower and won over the excutives with her spirit and determination. Unfortunately, she had been expecting a postition in middle management but that had already been filled. Eleanor was instead offered a job as a Coffee Courier and she releuctantly accepted, knowing this was better than no job at all.
Thinking of nothing better to do that day, Eleanor indulged in her favourite hobby: painting, hoping that would bring in the big bucks until she could get on her feet.

With her gorgeous...err...work of "art", Eleanor decided to bring it to the little shop that she had heard about in the waiting room of her new company: Munder Difflin. It was a mom-and-pop consignment store that would buy anything and everything. She certainly hoped this was true.

Upon arriving, Eleanor put her natural ability at salesmanship to work. However, calling her art "thick" and "juicy" did not work as well as in Papa's butcher shop and she got a measly 18 simoleons out of the deal.

In an attempt to flirt her way into a price increase, Eleanor turned her eyes to the cashier: a certain Dustin Langerak. He later turned out to be married and she didn't take the issue any farther. Too bad, she thought, he was pretty cute...
